Year 6 Shine at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre Dance Show
Wed 03 Dec 2025Our Year 6 pupils recently had the exciting opportunity to take part in a fantastic dance showcase at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre. Over the past few months, the children have been working hard every Friday morning with Premier Education, learning and refining a brilliant dance routine in preparation for the event.
Their dedication truly paid off. Performing in front of an audience of other schools, families and friends, the children delivered a confident and energetic performance. Despite a long day with plenty of waiting backstage, each pupil showed maturity, resilience and team spirit throughout.
We are incredibly proud of all of them. Their enthusiasm, behaviour and talent shone on stage and they represented our school beautifully. A huge well done to Year 6, and a big thank you to Premier Education for their support and expertise.

The children visited the village shop, The Chapel, the park and the Hub, among other places. Throughout the excursion, the children listened attentively and demonstrated excellent behaviour!

LKS2 WSR Trip
Wed 07 May 2025A huge well done to Hazel, Poplar and Rowan classes for their exceptional behaviour on their trip to Watchet on Wednesday 7th May.
The children walked all the way to Bishops Lydeard, then enjoyed a lovely train ride to Watchet on the West Somerset Railway π.
The trip was linked to their history unit on Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who was involved in the construction of the railway – it was great to see part of his legacy in real life!
At the harbour, the children did some brilliant observational drawings before heading to the park for lunch, a play, and a well-deserved ice lolly before starting the journey backβοΈ.
Once they arrived back at Bishops Lydeard, they had a chance to look around the museum and were given a sneak peek at the learning and nature garden they are developing!
All of the children were brilliant and represented our school beautifully – well done, everyone! -
