• Sports Day 2026 🏅🏃‍♂️

  On Friday 5th June, we held our annual Sports Day, and it was a truly fantastic day from start to finish.

   

  The children took part in a wide range of exciting races, showing brilliant determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, cheers and moments of encouragement between friends.

   

  Families joined us on the field for a lovely picnic lunch, helping to create a brilliant community atmosphere and making the day even more special. 

   

  A huge well done to Polden House for winning this year’s Sports Day! 🏆👏

   

  We would also like to say a big well done to all of our children and staff for their fantastic efforts in making the day such a success. It was a real celebration of teamwork, participation and fun. 🎉

• Fledglings and Oak Class Enjoy an Amazing Visit from Exmoor Zoo! 🕷️

  Our Fledglings and Oak Class children were delighted to welcome Exmoor Zoo to school for a very special minibeast experience.

   

  The children had the opportunity to meet a variety of fascinating creatures, including tarantulas, praying mantises and other incredible minibeasts. They listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions and were excited to learn more about the animals and their habitats.

   

  The zoo keeper was particularly impressed with the children's knowledge and enthusiasm. It was wonderful to see how much they remembered and how confidently they shared their learning.

   

  We were incredibly proud of the way the children behaved throughout the visit. They were calm, respectful and gentle when observing and handling the animals, showing great curiosity and care. ⭐

   

  What a fantastic hands-on learning experience and a memorable day for everyone involved! 😊
