Children’s Mental Health Week - ‘This Is My Place’
Fri 13 Feb 2026During the week commencing 9th February, we celebrated Children’s Mental Health Week, with this year’s theme, ‘This Is My Place’, focusing on promoting a sense of belonging.
Our fantastic School Council organised a range of activities throughout the week to support positive mental health, including crafts, card games and a quiet space for colouring and reading.
We finished the week with a non-uniform day, where children wore bright colours or clothing representing clubs and organisations they belong to, such as Brownies, Cubs, Scouts and sports clubs. It was wonderful to celebrate the many communities our children are part of.

Crazy Hair Day Success! 🎉
Tue 10 Feb 2026We had a fantastic Crazy Hair Day at school, raising money for our School Council. It was wonderful to see so many colourful and creative hairstyles across the school - the effort really was amazing!
A huge thank you to all of the children (and parents!) who got involved and helped make the day such a success. You've helped raised £134 which will go towards the school council's target to raise money for the Angel Star Fish project and our in school project. The creativity on display brought lots of smiles and made it very tricky for our judges.
Congratulations to our Key Stage winners for the best hairstyles:
KS1: Rory
LKS2: Georgie
UKS2: Daniel
Well done to everyone who took part and helped support our School Council!

A Special Visit from the Police 🚓
Thu 05 Feb 2026Year 1 had a very exciting and unexpected visit today from PC Milsom! The children loved learning all about his job as a police officer and had lots of thoughtful questions for him, which he was very happy to answer.
The visit was extra special for Miss Knight, who taught PC Milsom herself when he was in Reception – a lovely full-circle moment. Miss Knight was delighted to see that PC Milsom had achieved his dream of being a police man!
The children were thrilled to head outside to see the police car, where they learned more about how it works. Some even had the chance to press the warning signal and see the blue lights in action, which was a real highlight of the day.
It was a fantastic experience for Year 1 and a brilliant opportunity to learn about people in our community who help keep us safe. A big thank you to PC Milsom for taking the time to visit us!

Years 3 and 4 Egyptian Day
Tue 03 Feb 2026On 3rd February, our Year 3 and Year 4 children had a fantastic Egyptian Day with historian Neil Heasman. The day was packed with exciting, hands-on experiences that really brought their learning to life.
The children had the opportunity to handle replica artefacts, practise writing in hieroglyphics and even take part in a role-play mummification activity. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the day.
We finished with a special assembly to share what the children had learned. It was lovely to welcome so many families to celebrate their work and achievements.
A memorable and enriching day for everyone involved!
