This week we have been celebrating Science Week across the school. The week began with an exciting and interactive assembly led by Mrs Lofthouse, which included air-powered rockets and the launch of a whole school challenge to see who could design a paper aeroplane that would achieve the longest flight. The competition has been very popular, with a fantastic variety of designs on display throughout the school.

 

Children have been exploring a range of themes during the week including scientific thinking, design and engineering, using data and maths, teamwork and improving designs. Staff have also joined in the fun, with some impressive aeroplane designs appearing - Mr Stead’s was particularly impressive!
