  • Poetry Prize Winner

    Thu 07 Jul 2022

Congratulations to Arya Millar for being Commended in the Somerset Literacy Network Poetry Competition.  Arya is now a published poet!  She read her beautiful poem and collected her prize & certificate at a glamorous awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, where she met poet AF Harrold.

Well done, Arya – we are very proud of you.

    Here’s Arya’s poem…

    Mum

You are the shining of the moonlight

    In the dead of night.

You are the end of a glow-worm

    That makes me feel bright.

    You are the car lights

    That guide my way.

    You are the ambulance’s lights

    That saved me today.

    You are the crackling fire

    That makes me feel snug.

    You are the sun

    That brings joy and love.

  • Saturday Garden Rescue

    Tue 10 May 2022

On Saturday 7th May, a cracking team of parents, pupils and staff descended upon the garden area for a Spring Clean.  Following Mrs Odams' meticulous planning and tireless example, this awesome group transformed the class raised beds (having first found them amongst the jungle of weeds).  I hope that the pictures give a true impression of the tremendous results.

Thank you to everyone who came for all your hard work and thanks to Mrs Kelly for the wonderful cakes that powered us on!
